Material Handling, Feeders/Crushers/Grinders. Feeders convey product by using vibration to create linear straight line motion without the use of conveyor belts. Two popular systems are defined by their motive power: twin motor vibrating feeders, and electromagnetic vibrating feeders. Crushers use impact, shear, compression, or abrasion to reduce a variety of solid products to a desired particle size range. Flow Panels

Flow Panels. Custom designed flow transfer panels can be integrated to allow separation of clean in place and process flows in the food, dairy, pharmaceutical, or biotech industries. The flow transfer panel is utilized to provide a physical break between clean in place and process as required by processing regulations, good manufacturing practices. These panels are provided with or without U-bend position feedback. The communication protocol between the plate mounted proximity switches can be 115 VAC, 24 VDC discrete, DeviceNet or Profibus communication wiring. Flow Transmitter, Positive Displacment and Paddle

Paddlewheel and Positive Displacement (PD) Flow Transmitters: Paddlewheel devices have a paddle wheel mounted perpendicular to the flow path, and are used determine the flow, in an enclosed pipe, of gas, air, and liquids. PD devices measure the volume or flow rate of a moving fluid or gas by dividing the fluid or gas into fixed, metered volumes or parcels. These devices have a rotating or reciprocating mechanism that allows passage of these parcels. The number of parcels that pass through the chamber determines volume. The rate of revolution or reciprocation determines the flow rate.

Fluid Bed

Fluid Bed Dryers: In fluid bed drying, heat is supplied by a fluidization gas, but gas flow need not be the only source. Heat may be introduced by heating surfaces immersed in the fluidized layer. In fluid bed cooling, cold gas is used. Heat may also be removed by cooling surfaces immersed in the fluidized layer. In fluid bed drying, particle fluidization gives easy material transport, high rates of heat exchange at high thermal efficiency while preventing overheating of individual particles. It is suited for powders, granules, agglomerates, and pellets with an average particle size normally between 50 and 5,000 microns.
