Feeders/Crushers/Grinders

Material Handling, Feeders/Crushers/Grinders. Feeders convey product by using vibration to create linear straight line motion without the use of conveyor belts. Two popular systems are defined by their motive power: twin motor vibrating feeders, and electromagnetic vibrating feeders. Crushers use impact, shear, compression, or abrasion to reduce a variety of solid products to a desired particle size range. Grinders use shear and abrasion to reduce the particle size of bulk materials to powder.

Fiberglass

Fiberglass Centrifugal Pumps. These centrifugal pumps are designed for use with corrosive, toxic, noxious, and carcinogenic liquids. The pump fluid chamber is isolated from the separate external motor which drives the pump. Magnetic drives act as a link between the shaft and impeller. Similar to mag-drive pumps, except they are made from fiberglass. These pumps offer strengths comparable to metal construction

Fiberglass

Fiberglass Vessels. These vessels can be either pressure vessels designed to operate safely at a specific pressures and temperatures, or non-pressure vessels designed for use in gravity controlled and low-pressure systems. Fiberglass vessels are often chosen for corrosive process systems. They can withstand higher temperatures and pressures than ordinary thermoplastic materials. Their corrosion and chemical resistance makes them well-suited for general chemical processing applications. Fiberglass vessels can be used in a wide variety of corrosion resistant conditions, have low thermal conductivity, and low long-term maintenance costs

Fiberglass

Fiberglass Piping: Fiberglass pipe is often the material of choice for corrosive process systems. It can withstand higher temperatures and pressures than ordinary thermoplastic materials. Its corrosion and chemical resistance, makes it well-suited for general chemical processing applications. Fiberglass pipe can be used in a wide variety of corrosion resistant conditions. It is 20% lighter than steel, stronger than steel on an equal weight basis, has a coefficient of friction 25% better than steel, has low thermal conductivity, and low long-term maintenance costs.

Field Fab

Field Fab Vessels. These are vessels, or storage tanks, that have been specially designed to be quickly erected on location in the field, instead of being fabricated in a factory and shipped to location. Field fabricated vessels include structures such as: stainless steel tanks, pressure vessels, evaporators, columns and equipment for use in the dairy, food, grain, ethanol, chemical, beverage, wine and brewing industries. Experienced providers can field fabricate tanks with capacities of up to 500,000 gallons

Filing Systems

Biopharmaceutical Filing Systems. Generic filing systems provide cabinets, drawers, folders, labels, and other accessories that are needed to ensure that required information can be stored and retrieved on demand, efficiently. In the pharmaceutical industry, the regulatory paperwork associated with research and manufacturing is staggering and requires sophisticated file storage and retrieval operations. The records storage and retrieval operation is responsible for maintaining files for initial new drug applications, INDs, and new drug applications, NDAs. Both paper and computerized pharmaceutical filing systems, based upon years of experience, are specialized to satisfy these requirements.

Fillers

Material Handling, Fillers. Fillers load dry bulk products into bags, boxes, or drums. Some systems load product by weight, others by volume. Various designs use gravity, pneumatic, auger, impeller, vibratory, or belt feeds, balance scale beam and/or electronic load-cell technology to meter dry products such as fine powders, granular materials, chunks, and pieces.

Floor Scales

Floor Scales. These scales are intended for use in general industrial weighing applications such as shipping and receiving, bulk loading. They are ruggedly designed to withstand the abuse of factory-floor activities. Models are designed to handle loads from hundreds of pounds to those handling thousands of pounds. These scales are offered in both mechanical and electronic types, fixed location or portable, low profile or with eye-height analog or digital readouts. They are designed to withstand repeated washings and can be provided with access ramps.

Flow Panels

Flow Panels. Custom designed flow transfer panels can be integrated to allow separation of clean in place and process flows in the food, dairy, pharmaceutical, or biotech industries. The flow transfer panel is utilized to provide a physical break between clean in place and process as required by processing regulations, good manufacturing practices. These panels are provided with or without U-bend position feedback. The communication protocol between the plate mounted proximity switches can be 115 VAC, 24 VDC discrete, DeviceNet or Profibus communication wiring. They can be provided with drain pans to collect any fluids while making swings between the ports on the flow transfer panel. They could also include piping on the rear ports, legs, manual or automatic valves, instrumentation and integrated control panels.

Flow Transmitter, Positive Displacment and Paddle

Paddlewheel and Positive Displacement (PD) Flow Transmitters: Paddlewheel devices have a paddle wheel mounted perpendicular to the flow path, and are used determine the flow, in an enclosed pipe, of gas, air, and liquids. PD devices measure the volume or flow rate of a moving fluid or gas by dividing the fluid or gas into fixed, metered volumes or parcels. These devices have a rotating or reciprocating mechanism that allows passage of these parcels. The number of parcels that pass through the chamber determines volume. The rate of revolution or reciprocation determines the flow rate.

Fluid Bed

Fluid Bed Dryers: In fluid bed drying, heat is supplied by a fluidization gas, but gas flow need not be the only source. Heat may be introduced by heating surfaces immersed in the fluidized layer. In fluid bed cooling, cold gas is used. Heat may also be removed by cooling surfaces immersed in the fluidized layer. In fluid bed drying, particle fluidization gives easy material transport, high rates of heat exchange at high thermal efficiency while preventing overheating of individual particles. It is suited for powders, granules, agglomerates, and pellets with an average particle size normally between 50 and 5,000 microns.
