I/P Transducers. These transducers convert a milliampere input signal to a pneumatic output signal that is directly proportional to the input. They offer high signal sensitivity, rugged construction, insensitivity to shock and vibration, and are unaffected by supply pressure variations. This pneumatic output signal can be used to operate a pneumatic device, usually a valve.

In-Line Sightglass

In-Line Sight Glass. A transparent tube or a fitting with a window that is placed into the line through which the process media is transported, allowing the operator to observe the height or the flow of the process liquid.

Biopharmaceutical Incubators. A device for controlling the temperature, humidity, and other conditions in which a microbiological culture is being grown. The simplest incubators are insulated boxes with an adjustable heater. More elaborate incubators can also include the ability to lower the temperature through refrigeration, or the ability to control humidity or CO2 levels. Most incubators include a timer. Some can also be programmed to cycle through different temperatures, humidity levels, etc. Incubators can vary in size from tabletop to units the size of small rooms.

Industrial Centrifugal Pumps. These pumps, while in principle operating in the same manner as all centrifugal pumps, are characterized by their size, durable construction, and high-volume pumping capacity. These pumps are primarily used in large water management projects.

Industrial Equipment. This generally refers to the various tools and equipment used by plant maintenance and production personnel working in an manufacturing environment. This equipment includes material handling equipment, such as fork lifts, lift carts, conveyors, and pallets; sanitation equipment such as floor washers, pressure washers, and cleaning materials; and safety equipment such as protective clothing, safety glasses, and steel-toed shoes.

Piping Insulation: Thermal insulation used to prevent heat loss or gain from pipes to save energy, improve the effectiveness of thermal systems, and reduce costs.

IR & Other

IR Temperature Transmitter. A device for the remote (non-contact) measurement of an object. The device optically senses the object's thermal infrared radiation (IR) and converts that input to an electrical signal that can be used to operate an integrated digital or analog readout, or to control another device. These transmitters are ideal for measuring rapidly changing processes. Because they do not contact the object being measured, they can measure temperatures up to 3000 degrees Centigrade.

Pharmaceutical Isolators. Isolators are cabinets or workstations that environmentally separate the user or technician from the product being handled. With minor differences in design, some isolators protect the user from the product and others protect the product from the user or the external environment. Those protecting the user may have controlled negative pressure, filters on all gas exhaust, integrated hepa filters, and closed cleaning systems. Those protecting the product may have controlled positive pressure, multiple inlet filters, inert gas systems, humidity and temperature control, and closed cleaning systems. Interaction between user and product is usually through robotic devices or impermeable gloves that are attached to and protrude through the isolator bulkhead.
